There has already been a lot of line movement for this game in NFL Betting Odds, as the surging Steelers opened as a 14-point favorite and have been bet up to -15. Moneyline betting odds have Pittsburgh as a -775 favorite and Cleveland as a +620 underdog, while the over/under total is at 39.

Pittsburgh has absolutely dominated the recent head-to-head series, going 9-1 straight up in the past 10 meetings against its division foes. However, covering the point spread has been a different matter, as the Steelers are just 5-4-1 against the number in the past 10 meetings.

This is the first meeting of the season between the teams. The Steelers won handily in both clashes last year, beating the Browns 41-9 in their last matchup on Jan. 2 and covering as a 6.5-point road favorite, and winning 28-10 on Oct. 17, cashing as a 14-point home favorite.

The Browns (4-8 SU, 4-6-2 ATS) lost 24-10 to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, failing to cover as a 7-point home underdog. The score was under the total of 38.5. The Steelers (9-3 SU, 6-6 ATS) beat the division rival Cincinnati Bengals 35-7 on Sunday and easily cashed as a 7-point home favorite, while the score was under the total of 43.5.

NFL Football Tips bettors should note that Cleveland is 1-6 SU and 2-4-1 ATS in its last seven games on the road, and Pittsburgh is 8-1 SU in its last nine games at home.

NFL Betting sets up Sunday Night Football action that has the Detroit Lions and the New Orleans Saints clashing at the Louisiana Superdome (8:20 pm ET, NBC).

NFL Picks have New Orleans as a 9.5-point favorite, while the moneyline betting odds have New Orleans a -400 favorite and Detroit is a +320 underdog. The over/under total is at 53.5.

Both teams are 3-3 straight up and against the spread in the past six meetings. This is the first meeting since Sept. 13, 2009, when the Saints beat the Lions 45-27 and cashed as a 14-point home favorite. The score was well over the total of 50.

The total has gone under in eight of the last 11 meetings overall and in four of the last six meetings in New Orleans.

The Lions (7-4 SU, 6-4-1 ATS) and are coming off a 27-15 loss against the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Day last Thursday, a game in which they failed to cover as a 4-point home underdog. The score was under the total of 54.5. The Saints (8-3 SU, 7-4 ATS) routed the New York Giants by a score of 49-24 on last week’s Monday Night Football. New Orleans had no trouble covering the spread as a 7-point home favorite.

Free Football Picks shows Detroit is 6-1 SU in their last seven games on the road while New Orleans is 5-0 SU in its last five games at home. The total has gone over in 16 of Detroit’s last 24 games overall and 6-19 SU in its last 25 games on the road.

Sports Picks previews NFL Thursday Night Football action when the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field (8:20 pm ET, NFL Network).

Philadelphia opened as a 3-point favorite in NFL Betting Odds and many sportsbooks now have the Eagles as a 2.5-point favorite. Moneyline betting odds have Philly as a -145 favorite and Seattle a +125 underdog. The over/under total opened at 44.5 and is down to 43.5, with money coming in on the under.

Philadelphia (4-7 SU and ATS) was trounced 38-20 by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots on Sunday, failing to cash as a 3-point home underdog. The score was over the total of 50.

Seattle (4-7 SU, 6-4-1 ATS) was beaten 23-17 by the Washington Redskins on Sunday and were unable to cover as a 3-point home favorite. The score was over the total of 37.

Both teams are struggling, with NFL Picks stats showing Philadelphia is 4-10 SU in its last 14 games overall and 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games overall. But Philadelphia is 5-2 SU in its last seven games on the road. Seattle is just 2-4 SU in its last six games overall but strong against the spread at 6-2-1 ATS in its last nine overall. The total has gone over in five of the Seahawks’ last six games at home.

Head-to-head, Seattle is 4-3 SU and ATS in the past seven meetings. This is the first meeting since Nov. 2, 2008, when the Eagles won 26-7 and cashed as a 7-point road favorite.

Free Football Picks sets up a key MAC conference matchup Tuesday when the Ball State Cardinals and the Northern Illinois Huskies clash at Huskie Stadium in a game in which a share of first place in the MAC West Division will be up for grabs (8 pm ET, ESPNU).

The Huskies are a 17-point, -950 moneyline favorite, while the Cardinals are a +625 moneyline underdog in College Football Betting. The over/under total is at 70, up from the opening of 69.5.

Ball State (6-4 SU and ATS) are coming off a bye week and had trouble dispatching the Eastern Michigan Eagles in their last game on Nov. 5, scraping by 33-31. NCAAF Betting stats show the head-to-head series has been dominated by Northern Illinois, at least straight up. The Huskies are 7-3 SU and 5-5 ATS in the past 10 meetings. In the conference foes last meeting on Nov. 20 last season, the Huskies routed the Cardinals 59-21 and cashed as a 15.5-point road favorite. Northern Illinois took the score over the total of 53 by itself.

Ball State is just 6-12 SU in its last 18 games on the road, while Northern Illinois is 13-2 SU in its last 15 games at home.

Georgia Tech is 7-2 straight up and 5-3-1 against the spread and also is coming off a bye week. The Yellow Jackets beat the Clemson Tigers 31-17 in their last game Oct. 29. The Yellow Jackets covered as a 3.5-point home underdog and the score was under the total of 64.

Virginia Tech is horrible against the spread at 1-7 ATS in its last eight games overall but is 19-2 SU in its last 21 games. Virginia Tech is 11-1 SU in its last 12 games on the road but just 1-4 ATS in its last five games on the road

Georgia Tech is 7-2 SU in its last nine games overall and 5-0 SU in its last five games at home.

Football Betting stats show that head-to-head, Virginia Tech is 5-2 SU and 3-4 ATS in the past seven meetings.

NFL Handicappers sets up the New York Giants and the New England Patriots meeting on Sunday at Gillette Stadium in one of the marquee matchups of NFL Week 9 action. The game starts at 4:15 pm ET and can be seen on regional FOX stations.

NFL Betting fans have pushed New England up to a 10-point favorite after the Pats opened as 8.5 chalk. The Saints beat the San Francisco 49ers 24-3 in their opener Aug. 12 and cashed as a 2.5-point home favorite. They then lost 27-14 against the Houston Texans as a 2.5-point road favorite Aug. 20.

Oakland (8-8 SU, 8-8 ATS) are 0-2 straight up and against the point spread. The Raiders lost their opener 24-18 against the Arizona Cardinals 24-18 on Aug. 11. And then last weekend, in a game that resulted in several skirmishes in the stands, the Raiders lost 17-3 to the San Francisco 49ers in the latest version of the Battle of the Bay.

NFL Betting trends show the Saints have dominated Oakland in recent head-to-head meetings, going 3-1 SU and ATS in the past four. They last squared off in 2008, when New Orleans romped to a 34-3 win and easily covered as 7-point home favorite.

New Orleans closes out the preseason with a home game against the Tennessee Titans Thursday, and Oakland hosts the Seattle Seahawks Friday.
