NFL Picks action this weekend features the New York Jets facing the Washington Redskins on Sunday at FedExField (1 pm ET, CBS).

NFL Betting odds have New York as a 3-point favorite, while on the moneyline, the Jets are a -160 favorite and the Redskins a +140 underdog. The over/under total is now at 38.

Many maybe amazed to hear that Washington has dominated the recent head to head series, going a perfect 4-0 straight up and 2-1-1 against the point spread in the past four meetings with Mark Sanchez and the Jets. Going a little further back, Washington is 5-1 SU in the last six meetings. As well, three of the past four meetings have gone over the total.

The teams have not met since 2007, when the Redskins beat the Jets 23-20 but fell a half point of cashing as a 3.5-point road underdog. The score was over the total of 36.

The last time the Jets faced the Redskins in Washington was Sept. 4, 2003, when they lost 16-13.

New York (6-5 SU, 4-7 ATS) beat the AFC east rival Buffalo Bills 28-24 on Sunday but failed to cover as a 9.5-point home favorite. The score was over the total of 42.5.

Washington (4-7 SU, 5-6 ATS) beat the Seattle Seahawks 23-17 on Sunday and covered as a 3-point road underdog. The score was over the total of 37.

NFL Handicapper stats show the Jets are 1-5 SU and 1-5 ATS in their last six games on the road. Washington is 2-8 SU in its last 10 games at home.

Sports Picks previews NFL Thursday Night Football action when the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field (8:20 pm ET, NFL Network).

Philadelphia opened as a 3-point favorite in NFL Betting Odds and many sportsbooks now have the Eagles as a 2.5-point favorite. Moneyline betting odds have Philly as a -145 favorite and Seattle a +125 underdog. The over/under total opened at 44.5 and is down to 43.5, with money coming in on the under.

Philadelphia (4-7 SU and ATS) was trounced 38-20 by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots on Sunday, failing to cash as a 3-point home underdog. The score was over the total of 50.

Seattle (4-7 SU, 6-4-1 ATS) was beaten 23-17 by the Washington Redskins on Sunday and were unable to cover as a 3-point home favorite. The score was over the total of 37.

Both teams are struggling, with NFL Picks stats showing Philadelphia is 4-10 SU in its last 14 games overall and 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games overall. But Philadelphia is 5-2 SU in its last seven games on the road. Seattle is just 2-4 SU in its last six games overall but strong against the spread at 6-2-1 ATS in its last nine overall. The total has gone over in five of the Seahawks’ last six games at home.

Head-to-head, Seattle is 4-3 SU and ATS in the past seven meetings. This is the first meeting since Nov. 2, 2008, when the Eagles won 26-7 and cashed as a 7-point road favorite.

West Virginia and South Florida are both 3-3 SU in the past six head-to-head meetings, while the Bulls are 4-2 against the spread. The teams last met on Oct. 14 last season when the Mountaineers won 20-6 and cashed as a 10-point home favorite. The score was under the total of 46.

West Virginia is 12-4 SU in its last 16 games overall, and 5-1 SU in its last six games on the road. The total has gone over in eight of West Virginia’s last 10 games.

Sports Picks stats show West Virginia (8-3 SU, 5-6 ATS) beat the Pittsburgh Panthers 21-20 on Friday but the Mountaineers failed to cover the 7-point spread as home favorites, while the score was under the total 58.5.

South Florida (5-6 straight up, 4-7 against the spread) lost 34-24 against the Louisville Cardinals on Friday and failed to cover in that game as a 4.5-point home favorite, while the score was over the total of 44.

New Orleans opened as a 6.5-point favorite in NFL Betting but money on New Orleans now has them up to 7.5-point favorites, and some sportsbooks have the Saints as 8-point favorites. The moneyline odds have them a -340 favorite and New York a +270 moneyline underdog. The over/under total is at 51.5 after opening at 52.5.

New York is 5-4 SU and 4-5 ATS in the past nine head-to-head meetings, and two the past three clashes have stayed under the total. This is the first meeting in two years, since the Giants and Saints squared off on Oct. 18, 2009. New Orleans won that game 48-27 and covered the spread as a 3-point home favorite. That score was over the total of 47.

New York (6-4 SU, 4-5-1 ATS) lost 17-10 to the NFC East division rival Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday and failed to cover the 5.5-point spread as home favorites. The score was under the total of 45.

Sports Betting stats show New Orleans (7-3 straight up, 6-4 against the spread) is coming off a bye week and won 26-23 against the Atlanta Falcons in its last action on Nov. 13. The Saints covered the 1-point spread as road underdogs and the score was under the total of 50.

The Giants are 4-2 SU in their last six games on the road and the Saints are 7-1 SU in their last eight games at home.

There is some question on injury front whether Michael Vick or Vince Young will start at QB for the Eagles. Vick missed last Sunday’s game against the NFC East division rival New York Giants, and Young took his place .

New England (7-3 SU, 6-4 ATS) beat the Kansas City Chiefs 34-3 on Monday Night Football and cashed as a 17-point spread as home favorites. The score was under the total of 46.5. Philadelphia (4-6 SU and ATS) beat the Giants 17-10y on Sunday Night Football. The Eagles covered as a 5.5-point road underdog. The score was under the total of 45.

San Francisco (9-1 straight up, 9-0-1 against the spread) beat the NFC West division rival Arizona Cardinals 23-7 last Sunday and covered as a 10-point home favorite. The score was under the total of 40. Baltimore (7-3 SU, 5-4-1 ATS) beat the Cincinnati Bengals 31-24 on Sunday, with the score a push as Baltimore had been a 7-point home favorite. The score was over the total of 40.

NFL Picks stats have the 49ers 6-13 SU in their last 19 games on the road and Baltimore is 5-0 SU in its last five games at home.
