College Football Picks sets up a big NCAAF battle this weekend when the USC Trojans and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish – two teams riding win streaks and seeking to get back into the Top 25 – meet Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium (7:30 pm ET, NBC).

Notre Dame is an 8.5-point, -380 moneyline favorite in NCAAF Betting, while USC is a +350 moneyline underdog. The over/under total is hovering around 57.5.

The Trojans have dominated the head-to-head series at 8-2 SU and 6-4 ATS in the past 10 meetings. The teams last squared off on Nov. 27 last season, when the Fighting Irish won 20-16 and cashed as a 5-point road underdog.

The Trojans (5-1 SU, 3-3 ATS) beat Pac 12 rival the California Golden Bears 30-9 last Thursday, and covered as a 3-point road favorite. The score was under the total of 58. USC is not in the Top 25 largely because of the scandal involving Reggie Bush, which resulted in sanctions imposed by the NCAA including USC not being allowed in USA Today Coaches’ Poll Top 25 – no matter what its record was.

The Fighting Irish (4-2 SU, 3-3 ATS) are coming off a bye week and beat the Air Force Falcons 59-33 in its last game Oct. 8, cashing as a 14.5-point home favorite. The score was over the total of 55.5. The Fighting Irish, with four straight wins, received 107 votes in this week’s USA Today Poll and will find themselves back in the Top 25 with a win Saturday.  

USC is 17-6 SU in its last 23 games on the road, but 6-12 ATS in its last 18 games on the road. Notre Dame is 4-1 SU in its last five games overall, 5-2 SU in its last seven games at home, and 4-8-2 ATS in its last 14 games at home.

Tennessee is 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS and is coming off its bye week. In their last game on Oct. 9, the Titans lost 38-17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They failed to cover as a 3.5-point road underdog and the score was over the total of 40.

Free Picks trends show Houston is 5-11 SU in its last 16 games overall and 6-12 ATS in its last 18 games overall.  Houston is 1-8 SU in its last nine games on the road and 1-5 ATS in its last six games on the road. Tennessee is 4-10 SU in its last 14 games.

Tennessee is 7-3 SU and ATS in the past 10 head-to-head matchups. The teams split their two meetings last season, with the Titans winning 31-17 in their last meeting on Dec. 19, covering as a 1-point home favorite. Houston won the first meeting 20-1 on Nov. 28, cashing as a 5-point home favorite.

New York is 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS and four of its games have cashed for over bettors. The Jets snapped a three-game losing streak with a 24-6 win over AFC East rival Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football. They covered as a 7-point favorite and the score was under the total of 41.5.

San Diego is 5-1 SU in its past six games overall but just 2-5 ATS in its last seven games overall, and is 4-2 SU in its last six games on the road, and 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games on the road.

New York is 16-8 SU in its last 24 games overall and 6-1 SU in its last seven games at home.

Head-to-head, the Jets are 4-2 SU and 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. The teams last met in the 2010 NFL Playoffs, when the Jets won 17-14 and covered as an 8.5-point road underdog.

NFL Picks sets up the Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets in an AFC East division on Monday Night Football at MetLife Stadium (8:30 pm ET, ESPN).

New York is a 7-point favorite in NFL Betting Odds and the over/under total is at 42.

The Jets have a slight edge in the head-to-head series at 6-4 straight up and 5-4-1 against the spread in the past 10 head-to-head matchups, and six of the past 10 have gone over the spread. The teams split the season series last year. Miami won the last meeting 10-6 on Dec. 12, and covered as a 5-point road underdog. The Jets won 31-23 on Sept. 26 and covered as a 1-point road dog.

The Dolphins (0-4 SU and ATS) are winless but have at least cashed for under bettors at 1-3 O/U. Coming off a bye, Miami lost its last game 26-16 against the San Diego Chargers on Oct. 2, and failed to cover as a 6.5-point road underdog. The score was under the total of 45.
