Free Picks sets up a huge College Football matchup when the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Wisconsin Badgers, who are currently neck-and-neck in the Top 10 of NCAAF Polls, battle on Saturday night in a Big Ten conference clash at Camp Randall Stadium (8 pm ET, ABC).

The Cornhuskers are ranked No. 8 in the nation in the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Poll, and the Badgers are 7th in both polls. Both teams are undefeated this season.

College Football Odds have the Badgers listed as 10-point favorites after opening at -8. The moneyline odds have Wisconsin at -380 after opening at -340 and the Cornhuskers at +310, up from the opening of +295. The over/under total has dropped to 56.5 from the opening of 58.

Nebraska is 4-0 SU but just 1-3 ATS and beat the Wyoming Cowboys 38-14 on the road last Saturday. Nebraska covered as a 20.5-point favorite and the score was under the total of 55.5. Wisconsin is 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS and blew out the South Dakota Coyotes 59-10 at home last weekend. Wisconsin cashed as a 44-point favorite and the score was over the total of 59.5.

NCAAF Betting trends have Nebraska 4-1 SU but just 1-4 ATS in its last five games overall. The Cornhuskers are 10-2 SU in their last 12 games on the road. Wisconsin is 11-1 SU in its last 12 games overall, and 12-1 SU in its last 13 games at home. The total has gone over in six of the Badgers’ last eight games at home.

NCAAF Picks: No. 25 Michigan State Spartans at Ohio State Buckeyes

NCAAF Picks sets up the No. 25 Michigan State Spartans and the Ohio State Buckeyes clashing Saturday in a Big Ten conference showdown at Ohio Stadium (3:30 pm ET, ABC).

College Football Odds had the Buckeyes opening as a 3.5-point favorite and they were quickly bet down to -2.5 with the money coming in on the Spartans. On the moneyline, the Buckeyes opened as -155 favorites and are up slightly to -160, while the Spartans opened at +140 and are down a bit to +135. The over/under total has dropped from the opening line of 45.5 to 44 and 43.5 at some books.

The Spartans are 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS and beat the Central Michigan Chippewas 45-7 and covered the spread as 21.5-point favorites, while the score was over the total of 49.5.

The Buckeyes are also 3-1 straight up and 2-2 against the spread and three of their four games so far have been under the total. Last Saturday, Ohio State beat the Colorado Buffaloes 37-17 and covered as a 15-point home favorite, while the score was over the total of 47.5.

Ohio State is 8-2 SU and 6-3-1 ATS in the past 10 head-to-head meetings and the teams are meeting for the first time in three years, since the Buckeyes blew out the Spartans 45-7 on Oct. 18, 2008 and easily covered the spread as a 3.5-point road favorite. The score cleared the total of 42.

NCAAF Betting trends have Michigan State 14-3 SU in its last 17 games and Ohio State is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games at home.

Sports Picks action this coming weekend features plenty of Week 4 NFL Betting, including the San Francisco 49ers visiting the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field (1 pm ET, FOX).

NFL Betting Odds for this matchup had the Eagles opening as a touchdown favorite but they have been bet up to -10 after word broke that Philly quarterback Michael Vick would be playing. The over/under total has not changed from its opening of 44.5.

Head-to-head, Philadelphia is 6-4, both straight up and against the spread, in the past 10 meetings. Six of the past seven meetings have gone over the total. The teams last squared off on Oct. 10 last season, when the Eagles won 27-24 and covered as a 3.5-point road underdog. The score went over the total of 39.5.

San Francisco (2-1 SU, 2-0-1 ATS) got past the favored Cincinnati Bengals 13-8 on Sunday, cashing as a 1-point road underdog. The score stayed under the total of 38.

Philadelphia (1-2 SU, 1-2 ATS) has so far not turned out to be the “dream team” that it was hyped as in the preseason. The Eagles lost their second straight 29-16 to NFC East division rival New York Giants on Sunday, unable to cover as a 7.5-point home favorite. The score stayed under the total of 46.5.

NFL Handicapping trends show the 49ers are 3-13 SU in their last 16 games on the road while the Eagles are 1-5 SU and 2-4 ATS in their last six overall, and just 1-4 SU in their last five games at home.

NFL Football Tips: Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys

NFL Football Tips previews the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys clashing in Week 4 National Football League action on Sunday at Cowboys Stadium (1 pm ET, FOX).

The Lions’ success so far this season has driven the point spread from its opening of -3 in favor of Dallas to a pick’em at most sportsbooks. The Cowboys are a -125 moneyline favorite and the Lions a slight +105 underdog, but those numbers will likely change by game time, as well.

The over/under has dropped slightly from the opening of 47 down to 46.5.

About 69 per cent of the bets placed on this game so far are on the Lions to cover the spread.

Detroit (3-0 SU, 2-0-1 ATS) beat NFC North division rival Minnesota Vikings 26-23 on Sunday. That score was a push as the Lions were 3-point road favorites. The score went over the total of 44.5.

Dallas (2-1 SU, 1-1-1 ATS) beat the Washington Redskins 18-16 in its home opener on Monday Night Football. But the Cowboys could not cash as 3.5-point home favorites. The score stayed under the total of 45.

The Lions have been a cover machine for NFL Betting fans, as they are 7-0-1 ATS in their last eight overall. They are also undefeated in their past five going back to last season. Detroit is 4-1 SU in its last five on the road.

The Cowboys are 4-2 SU and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six overall and 3-6 SU and ATS in their last nine games at home.

Head-to-head, Dallas is 5-3 SU and ATS in the past meetings, including a 35-19 victory on Nov. 21 last season. The covered as a 5.5-point home favorite.

The best play in Week 3 NFL betting was the Underdogs.  10 winners 5 losers and a push netted a very nice +4.5 units for the dog backers.

Sports Picks sets up a College Football matchup Friday when the Utah State Aggies and the BYU Cougars battle at LaVell Edwards Stadium (8 pm ET, ESPN).

NCAAF Betting had BYU opening as a 12.5-point favorites but clearly bettors are backing the Aggies, as the Cougars have already been bet down to -7.5 at some sportsbooks. In moneyline odds, BYU is a -310 home favorite and Utah State a +255 underdog.

The best bet with the Aggies (1-2 SU, 2-1 ATS) so far this season is the “over,” as they are hitting at 100 per cent (3-0 O/U). Utah State lost to the Colorado State Rams 35-34 on Saturday and did not cover as a 12.5-point favorite. The score went over the total of 53.

The Cougars (2-2 SU, 2-0 ATS) have been good for “under” bettors, cashing in three of their four games this season. BYU lost to the Central Florida Knights 24-17 on the weekend. BYU cashed as a 1.5-point underdog and the score stayed under the total of 44.

NCAAF Betting Tips have Brigham Young at 9-1 straight up in the past 10 head-to-head meetings, but just 2-6 ATS in the past eight meetings.  Utah State and BYU last met on Oct. 1 last season, when Utah State beat BYU 31-16 and cashed as a 4.5-point home underdog, while the score was under the total of 51.5.

NFL Picks sets up the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears meeting in an NFC North clash at Soldier Field on Sunday (4:15 pm ET, FOX).

NFL Odds have Green Bay as a 4-point, -210 moneyline favorite and the over/under total at 45.

The Packers (2-0 SU, 1-1 ATS) came from behind to defeat the Carolina Panthers 30-23 last weekend. But Green Bay fell short of cashing as a 10-point road favorite. The score cashed for over bettors, with the score over the total of 45.

The Bears (1-1 SU, ATS) were beaten 30-13 by the New Orleans Saints last Sunday, failing to cover the spread as 4.5-point road underdogs. The score stayed under the total of 46.

NFL Betting trends have Green Bay 6-4 straight up and against the spread in the past 10 head-to-head matchups. Going further back, the Packers have absolutely dominated the Bears – straight up and against the point spread, at home or in Chicago.

Green Bay is 14-4 SU in the last 18 meetings at Soldier Field, and 10-3 ATS in the last 13 visits. There is also a strong under trend, as the total has stayed under in all five of the past five meetings overall, and in six of the past seven meetings in Chicago.

NCAAF Picks sets up a Top 25 College Football clash between the No. 2 LSU Tigers and the No. 16 West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday at Milan Puskar Stadium (8 pm ET, ABC).

Football Betting Odds have the Tigers as a 5.5-point, -220 moneyline favorite. The Mountaineers are a +180 moneyline underdog and the over/under total is up to 51 after opening at 48.

Head-to-head, the teams have a very limited history, with just one recent matchup – but that game came last season. The Tigers beat the Mountaineers 20-14 on Sept. 25 last year but failed to cover the spread as a 9.5-point home favorite. The score went under the total of 44.

The Tigers (3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS) beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs 19-6 on Saturday, cashing as a 3.5-point favorite. The score stayed under the total of 48.5. The Mountaineers (3-0 SU, 1-2 ATS) got past the Maryland Terrapins 37-31. They cashed as a 1-point favorite and the score was over the total of 56.5.

NCAAF Betting trends have the Tigers at 7-1 SU in their last eight overall, and 15-8 SU in their last 23 games on the road. The Mountaineers are also 7-1 SU in their last eight overall. NFL Football Betting: New York Jets at Oakland Raiders

NFL Football Betting previews a Sunday matchup between the New York Jets and the Oakland Raiders at the O.co Coliseum.

Oakland is 1-1 SU but has covered both games its played (2-0 ATS). The Raiders blew a halftime lead and lost 38-35 against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Oakland covered as a 3.5-point underdog and the score went over the total of 41.

Football Picks head-to-head trends have both teams at 5-5 straight up and the Jets at 5-4-1 against the spread in the past 10 meetings. But New York is 3-8 SU in the last 11 meetings in Oakland, and 2-3-1 ATS in the last six in Oakland.

The teams have met each of the past three seasons, with the Panthers winning the first two. Notre Dame beat Pittsburgh 23-17 on Oct. 9 last season, with the score a Push as the Irish were 6-point home favorites. The score stayed under the total of 50.

NCAAF Betting Odds have the Irish as 6.5-point favorites after opening at -5.5. Notre Dame is a -260 moneyline favorite and the Panthers a +220 underdog. The over/under total is up to 54 after opening at 52.
