The No. 10 Purdue Boilermakers and the No. 15 Wisconsin Badgers meet Tuesday in a Big Ten conference matchup at the Kohl Center (7 pm ET, ESPN).

NCAAB Odds and College Basketball Picks have the Badgers as a 3.5-point favorite and the over/under total at 124.5.

Both teams made small moves in the NCAA Basketball rankings on Monday, Purdue taking a slight tick upwards and Wisconsin headed south.

The Boilermakers have looked like one of the best teams in College Basketball at times, and incredibly average at others points this season.  Purdue moved from 12th to 11th in the AP Top 25 Poll and two spots from 12th to 10th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Badgers dropped two spots from 17th to 19th in the AP and three spots from 15th to 18th in the ESPN/USA Today poll after an upset loss against the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday.

Purdue (18-4 SU, 12-6 ATS, 7-2 Big Ten) got revenge for a loss earlier this season against conference rival Minnesota, beating the Golden Gophers 73-61 on Saturday. The Boilermakers cashed as a 9-point home favorite.

Wisconsin (15-5 SU, 10-6 ATS, 5-3 Big Ten) lost 56-52 to Penn State on Saturday, failing to cover as a 3.5-point road favorite.

Purdue is 6-4 SU and 7-3 ATS in the past 10 head-to-head meetings. In two meetings last season, the Boilermakers won the last clash 60-57 but couldn’t cash as a 9.5-point home favorite, and the Badgers won the first 73-66, covering as a 1.5-point home underdog.

The No. 19 Louisville Cardinals face the No. 20 Georgetown Hoyas in a Big East conference matchup on Monday at the Verizon Center (7 pm ET, ESPN).

The timing of this matchup couldn’t be much better, as both the Cardinals and the Hoyas are coming off huge conference wins on Saturday, Louisville edging the No. 5 Connecticut Huskies in an overtime thriller and Georgetown upsetting the No. 7 Villanova Wildcats. Both teams won on the road.

Louisville is 17-4 SU, 9-6 ATS and 6-2 in the Big East, and is now just 1.5 games back of the conference leading No. 2 Pittsburgh Panthers. Georgetown is 16-5 SU and has been very good to point spread bettors at 12-7 ATS. But four of the Hoyas five losses have come in Big East play and the team is three games off the pace in the conference.

Georgetown is 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS in the head-to-head battle over the past five meetings. The teams haven’t met since Feb. 23 last season, when the Hoyas won 70-60 and cashed as a 4-point road underdog. The score went under the total of 140.5.

The Cardinals upset the Huskies 79-78 in double overtime as a 5.5-point road underdog on Saturday. The score went over the over/under total of 142.

Sophomore point guard Peyton Siva scored 19 points, including two key baskets in the second overtime, to lead Louisville.

The Hoyas beat Villanova 69-66 and cashed as a 4.5-point road dog on Saturday, with the score going under the total of 144.5.

Guard Austin Freeman was huge for the Hoyas, especially in the final minutes when he had 10 of Georgetown’s final 12 points. Freeman wound up with 30 points.

The Boston Celtics face the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time since Game 7 of last year’s NBA Finals on Sunday at the Staples Center (3:30 pm ET, ABC).

NBA Odds and NBA Picks have the Lakers as a 2.5-point favorite and the over/under total at 186.

These two longtime NBA rivals have been waiting since June 17 last season to get at each other again. That’s when Los Angeles won the best-of-seven NBA Finals series with an 83-79 win over the Celtics to wrap up their second-straight NBA title.

Los Angeles failed to cover in that series-deciding Game 7 as a 6.5-point home favorite and the score went under the total of 186.5.

It seems that both teams are so eager to square off, they overlooked their respective opponents on Friday night as both the Celtics and Lakers lost.

Boston was beaten 88-71 by the Phoenix Suns, failing to cover as a 4.5-point road favorite. The score stayed below the total of 200.5. And Los Angeles lost 100-95 to Pacific division rival Sacramento Kings, failing to cash as a 12-point home favorite. The score in that game was below the total of 199.

Head-to-head, Los Angeles is 6-4 SU and 4-5-1 ATS in the past 10 meetings. The Lakers are 5-2 SU in the past seven meetings at home. But Boston has cashed against the spread at a 13-5-1 ATS clip in the past 19 meetings overall.

Boston is also just 2-4 SU in their last six on the road, while LA is 7-1 SU in its last eight games at home.

The Big East conference boasts seven ranked teams, more than any College Basketball conference, and Saturday two of the better ones square off when the No. 19 Louisville Cardinals face the No. 5 Connecticut Huskies at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion (12 pm ET, ESPN3).

NCAAB Odds and College Basketball Picks have the Huskies as a 3.5-point favorite.

Louisville (16-4 SU, 8-6 ATS, 5-2 Big East) and UConn (17-2 SU, 10-3 ATS, 5-2 Big East) are both chasing the conference-leading No. 2 Pittsburgh Panthers, who have just a 1.5-game lead.

The Huskies have what many consider to be College Basketball’s best all-around player in Kemba Walker, and he showed why in UConn’s last game Tuesday against the Marquette Gold Eagles.

Walker, who’s averaging over 24 points per game this season, had an off-game points-wise, with 14 points on 16 attempts. But he was huge in every other department, with six rebounds, nine assists and two steals.

Huskies freshman Jeremy Lamb took over for Walker when it came to putting up points, as he had a career-best 24 points to pace the 76-68 win over Marquette. UConn cashed as a 5-point road underdog and the score went over the over/under total of 146.5.

The Cardinals, meanwhile, squeaked out a 55-54 win over the West Virginia Mountaineers in their last game Wednesday.

Both teams are 4-4 SU in the past eight meetings, while the Cardinals have a 5-2-1 ATS edge. This is the first meeting since Feb. 28 last season, when the Cardinals edged the Huskies 78-76 and cashed as a 4-point road dog. Louisville also won the first meeting last season 82-69 as a 7-point home favorite on Feb. 1.

NBA Betting fans can look forward to the Miami Heat continuing one of the most difficult stretches of their NBA schedule when they visit the Detroit Pistons at American Airlines Arena on Friday (7:30 pm ET, FOX Sports Detroit, Sun Sports).

Miami will be playing its second game of a four-games-in-five-nights stretch that began at Madison Square Garden with a game against the New York Knicks on Thursday.

The Heat (31-13 SU, 20-23-1 ATS) have been struggling with two of their “Big Three” sidelined with injuries. Forward Chris Bosh is out indefinitely with a sprained ankle, while guard Dwyane Wade is listed as day-to-day with an illness. Miami lost a season-high four straight games before beating the Toronto Raptors last weekend.

Detroit (17-29 SU, 26-20 ATS) has improved somewhat this season, and even managed some upset wins, but the Pistons are still mired in 4th place in the Central division, 14.5 games back of the Chicago Bulls.

Miami is 6-4 SU and 8-2 ATS in the past 10 head-to-head meetings. The teams have met once previously this season, when the Heat blasted the Pistons 97-72 on Dec. 1. Miami covered as an 11.5-point home favorite and the score went under the total of 191.5.

The Heat beat the Raptors 120-103 on Saturday. They cashed as a 10.5-point home favorite and the score went over the total of 196.5, and LeBron James scored 38 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.

Detroit dropped a 109-100 decision to the visiting Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. The Pistons failed to cover as a 1.5-point home underdog and the score went over the total of 204.

NCAAB Betting fans have what will be the College Basketball game of the year in the WCC conference on tap Wednesday when the No. 24 Saint Mary’s Gaels face the Gonzaga Bulldogs at the McCarthey Athletic Center (11 pm ET, ESPN).

St. Mary’s (17-3 SU, 8-4 ATS, 5-0 WCC) will be looking to rebound after having a long win streak stopped last weekend.

Gonzaga (13-7 SU, 8-6-1 ATS, 3-2 WCC) is just trying to salvage a season that could be the first in a decade in which they don’t win the conference crown. The Bulldogs have won 10 straight West Coast Conference titles, second only to the UCLA Bruins’ 13 straight Pac 10 championships.

Head-to-head, Gonzaga is 7-3 SU and both teams are 5-5 ATS in the past 10 meetings. St. Mary’s beat the Bulldogs 81-62 in their last meeting in the WCC title game last March, covering as a 4.5-point road underdog. Gonzaga won the first meeting 80-61 on Feb. 11 last season, covering as a 5-point home favorite.

St. Mary’s lost 89-70 to the Vanderbilt Commodores in its last game Saturday, snapping the Gaels 11-game winning streak. St. Mary’s could not cash as a 5-point road underdog and the score went over the total of 147.

Saint Mary’s hadn’t lost since a Dec. 1 setback against San Diego State. The win streak had moved the Gaels into the rankings last week for the first time since Jan. 26, 2006.

Gonzaga lost its second straight, 96-91 against the San Francisco Dons on Saturday. There were no point spread or over/under odds posted.

NBA Betting action on Wednesday features a pair of teams seemingly headed in opposite directions, at least in recent games, as the San Antonio Spurs head to Salt Lake City to face the Utah Jazz (9:30 pm ET, ESPN).

Basketball Odds and NBA Picks will have the Spurs as point spread and moneyline favorites against the Jazz, who have stumbled big time on their current road swing.

And Utah is in the unenviable position of facing the NBA-leading Spurs less than 24 hours after taking on the No. 2 team in the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers.

NBA bettors have lots of reasons to put money on San Antonio as the Jazz close out a disappointing five-game road trip late Tuesday, hop on a plane, and then get home just in time to face a Spurs team that’s sitting there waiting for them.

Head-to-head, however, the Jazz have fared well against the Spurs, each at 5-5 straight up and against the point spread in the past 10 meetings. This is the second meeting of the season. San Antonio won 94-82 on Nov. 19, cashing as a 2.5-point home favorite.

San Antonio (38-7 SU, 26-17-2 ATS) beat the Golden State Warriors 113-102 on Monday, cashing as a 5-point road favorite. San Antonio bounced back after having an eight-game win streak – its third win streak of at least that many games this season – snapped on the weekend.

Utah (27-17 SU, 20-23-1 ATS) lost 96-85 to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, unable to cover as a 2-point road underdog. The score was under the over/under total of 197.

NCAA Basketball Betting action and NCAAB Picks Tuesday features the No. 12 Purdue Boilermakers taking on the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes in a Big Ten matchup at the Value City Arena (9 pm ET, ESPN).

Purdue (17-3 SU, 11-5 ATS, 6-1 Big Ten) is right behind the Buckeyes in the Big Ten standings while Ohio State (20-0 SU, 9-8 ATS, 7-0 Big Ten) tops the College Basketball polls for the second-straight week, getting all 31 votes in the ESPN/USA Today coaches’ poll and 63 of the 65 votes in The AP Top 25.

The Buckeyes have a slight edge in the head-to-head series at 6-4 SU and 5-4-1 ATS in the past 10 meetings. The teams split their two meetings last season.

On Saturday, Purdue beat the No. 17 Michigan State Spartans 86-76, cashing as a 6-point home favorite. The Spartans free fell out of the ESPN/USA Today poll and hung on to 25th in the AP Poll with the loss.

Ohio State got past a tough Illinois Fighting Illini team 73-68 on Saturday. The Buckeyes cashed as a 3.5-point road favorite and the score went over the total of 139.

Other NCAAB action Tuesday has the No. 23 Florida Gators and the Georgia Bulldogs meeting in SEC conference play at Stegeman Coliseum (7 pm ET, ESPN).

Florida (15-4 SU, 5-8 ATS, 4-1 SEC) blew out the Arkansas Razorbacks 75-43 on Saturday. The Gators have won seven of their past eight games.

Georgia (14-4 SU, 7-7 ATS, 3-2 ATS) beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs 86-64 on Saturday, covering as a 10.5-point home favorite. The score went over the total of 138.

Florida is 8-2 SU and 6-4 ATS in the past 10 head-to-head meetings, and the teams split the season series last year, each going 1-1 SU and ATS.

College Basketball action Monday has the No. 4 Pittsburgh Panthers battling the No. 16 Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a Big East clash at the Petersen Events Center (7 pm ET, ESPN).

Pittsburgh is a 10-point favorite in College Basketball Betting and NCAAB Picks.

Notre Dame (16-4 SU, 7-7 ATS) is 5-3 in the Big East while Pittsburgh (19-1 SU, 7-6 ATS, 7-0 Big East) is a perfect 7-0 in conference, play the only unbeaten team in Big East play.

Notre Dame beat Marquette 80-75 on Saturday, cashing as a3.5-point home favorite. The score went over the total of 145. Pittsburgh blew out DePaul 80-50. There were no point spread or over/under total posted for the game.

The Irish are led by seniors Ben Hansbrough and Tim Abromaitis, who are averaging 15.8 and 15.2 points per game, respectively. The Panthers are paced by junior guard Ashton Gibbs, who averages 16 points per game.

Head-to-head, Pittsburgh is 6-4 SU and 4-6 ATS in the past 10 meetings. The teams haven’t met since last season’s Big East tournament quarterfinals, when the Fighting Irish beat the Panthers 50-45, cashing as a 2-point underdog. The score stayed under the over/under total of 126.

It was a heartbreaking loss for Pitt as Notre Dame’s Luke Harangody hit three free throws in the last two minutes to lead the Irish past the Panthers.

Pitt is in a good position to avenge that loss. The Panthers have the 19th best offense in the nation, averaging 80 points per game, and are leading the nation in rebounding with 43 per game.

The AFC Championship Game features the New York Jets taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday at Heinz Field, with both teams looking to book a trip to Dallas for the Super Bowl on Feb. 6 (6:30 pm ET, CBS).

NFL Betting Odds and NFL picks have the Steelers as a 3.5-point, -210 moneyline favorite and the over/under total at 38.5.

The Steelers went 7-1 SU in the second half of the season, and as NFL bettors know, that one loss was against the Jets last month, and it came at Heinz Field. New York beat the Steelers 22-17 and covered as a 4-point road underdog. The score went over the total of 36.

The Steelers have just a slight edge in the recent head-to-head series, going 4-3 SU in the past seven meetings. The Jets have covered the point spread in four of those meetings. Five of those matchups have gone under the total, and nine of the last 11 meetings have hit for under backers.

Last Sunday, New York (13-5 SU, 9-7 ATS) upset the heavily favored New England Patriots 28-21 in their AFC divisional playoff game at Gillette Stadium. The Jets cashed as a 9-point underdog and the score went over the total of 45.

The Steelers (13-4 SU, 10-6 ATS) beat AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens 31-24 in their AFC divisional game Saturday. They covered as a 3.5–point home favorite and the score went over the total of 38.

The Jets are 13-3 SU in their last 16 games on the road, and 4-1 SU in their last five games overall. Pittsburgh is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games at home.
