The Badgers (11-1 SU, 6-5 ATS) had an equally easy time dispatching of the Northwestern Wildcats 70-23, also Nov. 27. The Badgers covered the 23–point spread and the score was way over the total of 58.

The second BCS Bowl game has the Connecticut Huskies taking on the No. 7 Oklahoma Sooners at the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Fiesta Bowl (8:30 pm ET, ESPN).

The Sooners are a 17-point favorite and the over/under total is 54.5 in College Football Betting.

A win would give South Carolina its second 10-win season in school history, and the Seminoles their first 10-win season since 2003.

Florida State (9-4 SU, 6-6 ATS) lost the ACC title game 44-33 to the Virginia Tech Hokies on Dec. 4, failing to cash as a 4.5-point underdog.

The favored Maryland Terrapins and the East Carolina Pirates kick off the College Football bowl action Wednesday in the Military Bowl at RFK Stadium (2:30 pm ET, ESPN).

The Terrapins are 7.5-point favorites and the over/under total is at 68 in NCAAF Odds.

The Pirates are 6-6 straight up and against the point spread, and went 5-3 in Conference USA play this season, while the Terrapins are 8-4 SU and 7-4 ATS, and went 5-3 in the ACC.

College Football Betting has West Virginia as a 2.5-point favorite and the over/under total at 49.

Despite winning their last four games, the Mountaineers missed out on getting an automatic Big East BCS bowl berth when the Connecticut Huskies beat the South Florida Bulls on Dec. 4.

West Virginia (9-3 SU, 8-3 ATS, 5-2 Big East) beat the Rutgers Scarlet Knights 35-14 in its last game Dec. 4, failing to cover as a 21.5-point favorite. North Carolina State (8-4 SU, 8-3 ATS, 5-3 ACC) lost 38-31 to the Maryland Terrapins on Nov. 27, unable to cash as a 1.5-point favorite.

Missouri (10-2 SU, 6-5 ATS, 6-2 Big 12) beat the Kansas Jayhawks 35-7 on Nov. 27, cashing as a 24.5-point road favorite. Iowa (7-5 SU, 5-5-1 ATS, 4-4 Big Ten) lost 27-24 to the Minnesota Gophers on Nov. 27, failing to cover as a 14.5-point road favorite.

Atlanta has been hot all season and has won eight straight. The Falcons have yet to lose on the road this season, and have dominated opponents in many games, outscoring opponents by a total of 108 points this season.

New Orleans has won 14 of its last 17 games on the road.

New Orleans is 7-3 straight up but just 4-6 against the spread in the past 10 head-to-head. This is the second meeting of the season. The Falcons won the previous meeting 27-24 count on Sept. 26, covering as a 3-point road underdog.

The Miami Heat take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the most anticipated NBA matchup this season Saturday at the Staples Center (5 pm ET, ABC).

The game pits the last season’s NBA MVP, LeBron James of the Heat, against the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant, last season’s NBA Finals MVP.

In the head-to-head series, the Lakers are 6-4 straight up but just 4-6 against the point spread in the past 10 meetings. Six of the past 10 have gone over the total. The teams last squared off on March 4 last season, when the Heat got past the Lakers 114-111 and covered the spread as a 5-point home underdog. The score went well over the total of 190.

Miami played the Phoenix Suns Thursday night, and previously faced the Dallas Mavericks last Monday at home. The Heat had their 12-game win streak stopped in a 98-96 loss. Miami couldn’t cover as a 6.5-point home favorite and the score went over the total of 193.5.

The Arizona Cardinals host the Dallas Cowboys at the University of Phoenix Stadium on Christmas Day (7:30 pm ET, NFL Network).

NFL Odds have the Cowboys as 6-point favorites while the over/under total is at 45.

Both teams have been out of the NFL Playoff picture for some time but both are still playing for pride. Dallas (5-9 SU, 6-8 ATS) has been solid since head coach Wade Philips was fired in early November. The Cowboys are 4-2 SU since Jason Garrett took over.

Arizona (4-10 SU, 4-10 ATS) had a good start but has since thrown in the towel. They did, however, look better than they had in weeks in a 43-13 hammering of the Denver Broncos in Week 14.

Last Sunday, the Cowboys beat NFC East rival Washington Redskins 33-30 but failed to cover as a 9.5-point home favorite. Arizona lost 19-12 to the Panthers and could not cash as a 2.5-point road underdog.

Dallas and Arizona are even straight-up at 5-5 SU in the past 10 meetings, but Dallas is 7-3 ATS. The Cardinals have dominated the Cowboys at home, going 5-1 SU in the last six in Phoenix.

The teams last met in 2008, when the Cardinals won 30-24 and covered as a 5-point home underdog. The score went over the total of 53.5.

The last Thursday night game of the NFL regular season has the Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the Carolina Panthers at Heinz Field (8:20 pm ET, NFL Network).

NFL Week 16 Odds have Pittsburgh as a 14.5-point favorite with the over/under total at 37.

NFL Picks will be one-sided in this matchup, as anyone who has paid any attention to the National Football League this season knows this game means a lot for Pittsburgh’s postseason prospects, but absolutely nothing for the sad-sack Panthers.

Pittsburgh (10-4 SU and 8-6 ATS) can move one step closer to the AFC North title, and the first-round NFL Playoffs bye that comes with it, with a win against Carolina. The Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens are deadlocked atop the division.

The Panthers (2-12 SU and 4-10 ATS), meanwhile, were able to muster their second victory of the season last week and are counting the days til they can put a cap on this ugly campaign.

But the Steelers have been known to self-sabotage late in the season and they looked the part last Sunday when they dropped a 22-17 decision to New York Jets at home. Pittsburgh failed to cash as a 3.5-point favorite and the score went over the over/under total of 36.

The Panthers beat the Arizona Cardinals 19-12 last Sunday. Carolina covered as a 2.5-point home favorite and the score stayed under the total of 37.5.

Pittsburgh is 3-1 SU and 4-0 ATS in the past four head-to-head meetings. The teams have not met since Dec. 17, 2006, when Pittsburgh won 37-3 and cashed as a 3-point road underdog. The score went over the total of 39.

When the College Football Bowl Games get going, most NCAA Football bettors know the early matchups are nothing compared to the big games in the first week of the New Year.

But Wednesday, the MAACO Bowl features two ranked teams, as the No. 19 Utah Utes (10-2 SU, 7-4-1 ATS) and the No. 10 Boise State Broncos (11-1 SU, 8-4 ATS) meet at Sam Boyd Stadium, in the sports betting Mecca of Las Vegas (8 pm ET, ESPN).

NCAAF Odds and College Football Picks have the Broncos as 17-point favorites and the over/under total at 61.

The MAACO Bowl is the only bowl game with both teams in the Top 25 until the No. 19 South Carolina Gamecocks battle the No. 23 Florida State Seminoles in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on New Year’s Eve.

BSU is in its ninth-straight bowl game and its 10th overall, and the Broncos are 6-4 SU all-time. Of course, the Broncos had a bigger goal than an early bowl this season, namely the BCS Championship game, or at least a BCS bowl. But Boise State’s perfect season was halted with a stunning 34-31 overtime loss against the Nevada Wolf Pack Nov. 26.

Utah is 12-3 SU in the 15 bowl games the Utes have been in, and currently holds the longest active win streak in bowl games with nine straight victories.

Head-to-head, the Broncos are 3-0 SU and 3-0 ATS in the past three meetings, but BSU and Utah haven’t met since Sept. 30, 2006, when the Broncos routed the Utes 36-3. Boise State cashed as a 4.5-point road underdog.

Utah beat the BYU Cougars 17-16 at home on Nov. 27 but couldn’t cash as 7.5–point favorites. Boise State took out their anger with a 50-14 blow out of the Utah State Aggies on Dec. 4, but couldn’t cash as big 40.5–point favorites.
